The goal of Young Scientist Day is to instil and cultivate the interest in science among school children. All we are trying to do is to ensure you have a lot of fun in learning science in a cool way!
The first YSD was held on 27th May 2014 and obtained overwhelming response from the public with 350 students attending this event. Following the success of this program, we expanded our YSD program with the objective of cultivating the interest in science among rural school students and to aid the current teaching and learning process of Science in schools located mainly in the district of Hulu Selangor, Sabak Bernam, Hilir Perak and Tapah (Sungkai). In March till June 2015, the Young Scientist Day program was conducted in 6 rural schools and inspired more than 2,000 school students.
The major limitation of organising YSD is the financial constraint as the activities in this program are hands-on which require large amount of consumables. Your participation in the YSD Charity Run enables us to make money from the event which can then be used to organize our upcoming YSD2018 program that will benefit our future generation.
